These Terms are a legal agreement between you and SharedGenes Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using Juno Chat (“the App”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Juno, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service. These Terms may be updated from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Service Description
- Juno provides AI-powered wellness support and companionship
- The service includes voice and text chat capabilities
- Health tracking and memory features for continuity
- Crisis support resources and professional referrals
Medical Disclaimer & Limitations
- Juno is NOT a licensed medical professional or therapist
- Do not use for medical emergencies — call 911 immediately
- Always consult qualified healthcare providers for medical advice
- Information provided is educational, not diagnostic or prescriptive
User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate health information for better support
- Use the service responsibly and in good faith
- Respect the AI assistant and avoid harmful content
- Seek professional help for serious health concerns
- Report any technical issues or safety concerns
Crisis Support
If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, Juno will provide immediate resources including: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, emergency services information, and professional support contacts.
Service Availability
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- Maintenance and updates may temporarily affect availability
- Voice features require internet connectivity and may vary by device
Intellectual Property
The Juno app, AI technology, and related content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the service for personal wellness purposes only.
Limitation of Liability
Juno Chat provides this service “as is” and cannot be held liable for medical decisions, health outcomes, or any consequences of using the app. Users assume responsibility for their health decisions.
3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
Subscription Plans & Pricing
- Monthly Plan: Pricing varies by region — auto-renews until cancelled
- Weekly Plan: Pricing varies by region — auto-renews until cancelled
- Prices are determined by your local App Store and may vary by region. All prices include applicable local taxes
Billing & Auto-Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and on each renewal date
- If subscription prices increase, you’ll be notified in advance and can cancel if you don’t agree
Cancellation & Management
- Cancel anytime: manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period
- Simply deleting the app does not cancel your subscription
Free Trials & Promotional Offers
- Free trials are available to new subscribers only
- Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial period ends
- Special pricing may be available for eligible users and converts to standard pricing after the promotional period
Refunds & Restoration
- All billing and refunds are handled by Apple. We cannot process refunds directly
- Existing subscribers can restore access using the “Restore Purchases” feature in the app
- Subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID and transfer between devices automatically
Family Sharing
Juno subscriptions support Apple Family Sharing when enabled. Eligible family members can access the subscription through the family organizer’s account.
4. AI-Powered Service & Data Sharing
Juno is powered by third-party artificial intelligence services. By using Juno, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your messages (text and voice) are sent to Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate Juno’s responses
- Voice call audio is processed through LiveKit for real-time communication and through text-to-speech providers (ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, or Cartesia) to produce Juno’s spoken responses
- Relevant health context you have shared (conditions, symptoms, goals) may be included with your messages to provide more personalized support
- This data sharing is essential to the core functionality of the app and cannot be disabled while using the service
- Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models and process it only to generate responses

5. Analytics & Data Collection Consent
By using Juno, you automatically consent to analytics tracking. This data collection is essential for app functionality and improvement. We use two trusted analytics services:
- PostHog: Privacy-first product analytics for understanding user behavior and improving features
- Mixpanel: Event tracking and user journey analytics to optimize app performance
Data We Collect
- App usage patterns and feature interactions (no personal content)
- Performance metrics and error reporting for technical improvements
- Session data and user journey analytics (fully anonymized)
- Onboarding progress and feature adoption rates
- Device information (browser type, screen size, timezone)
Privacy Protection
- All analytics data is automatically anonymized and encrypted
- Personal information, emails, and names are automatically filtered out
- Health conversations and medical data are NEVER tracked or stored
- Data is processed in compliance with GDPR and privacy regulations
6. End User License Agreement (EULA)
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, SharedGenes Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Juno app on your personal mobile device solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
License Restrictions
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- You may not use the service for illegal activities or to harm others
- You may not circumvent any security measures or technical limitations
- You may not use the app in any manner that could damage our systems
Acceptable Use
- Use the app only for personal wellness and health support purposes
- Maintain respectful and appropriate conversations with the AI companion
- Do not attempt to misuse, exploit, or abuse the service
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
7. Service Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Juno and SharedGenes Ltd are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless your local jurisdiction requires otherwise. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated through the app and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
